When the need arises, the trust has been providing relief and rehabilitation to the victims of a series of natural disasters—cyclone, floods, fire victims.. For the past few years DEED TRUST helping hand reached out to those in need. In November and December 2015 heavy rain from a deep tropical depression came through the Bay of Bengal and hit the south eastern coast of India. Heavy rains persisted for several weeks, causing severe flooding in Cuddalore, Chennai, Pondicherry and surrounding areas that claimed the lives of 470 people, and the displacement of over 1.7 million people. The flooding caused widespread damage to almost 1 million acres of farmland and horticulture crops, and approximately 100,000 livestock includes cattle, poultry, goats, pigs dead. Most of them lost their houses.
DEED TRUST provides healthcare services to meet the immediate health care needs of the marginalized community in remote rural areas and slums through Medical camps. Camps are organized in colloboration with Medical Colleges and Hospitals. The purpose of organizing the camp was to make the people aware of their health. A team of well-known eye specialist, physicians, dentist, dermatologist and general practice doctors attended the camp. The doctors examined each patient one by one, diagnosing all weaknesses and illnesses. They checked the eyes, lungs, functioning of heart and other parts of body and prescribes medicine and all the medicines given at free of cost.
As India targets to becoming a global economic powerhouse, it needs to equip its workforce with employable skills and knowledge to make India a developed economy. Skills and knowledge development are the driving forces behind the financial growth and community development of any country. Skill building is a powerful tool to empower individuals and improve their social acceptance. It must be complemented by economic growth and employment opportunities to meet the rising aspirations of youth. Today, the world and India need a skilled workforce. If we have to promote the development of our country then our mission has to be `Skill Development' and `Skilled India'.

Deepam for Education Empowerment and Development (DEED) has been conducting Skill Development Training to Youth and Women under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) scheme under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India under CSSM (Puducherry) component. DEED Skill Development Center is affiliated for Self Employed Tailor and Field Technician-Computing and Peripherals.

NDLM - National Digital Literacy Mission Program aims at making one person of every rural Indian Household digitally literate by the 2020. DEED Trust in association with NASSCOM Foundation, New Delhi has established SPi Global NDLM Center in Kottaimedu, Villianur, Pondicherry (Opposite Vivekananda Higher Secondary School) from March'2018. So Far 1000 students enrolled.
