ABOUT US
Deepam for Education Empowerment and Development [DEED] Trust is a non-profit, non-governmental, and charitable organization which was founded in the year 2010. The Trust has been registered under Indian Trusts Act Vide Registration Number 672/2010. DEED Trust in the context of changing environment tries to understand the rural people's living situation and identify the people in need and enable them to get benefits in order to move in a developmental path.
Its working for the upliftment of the poorest of poor and marginalized communities in UT of Puducherry and Tamil Nadu state.
MAJOR ACTIVITES
The activities include Relief in times of disaster, creating awareness, organizing health camps, Youth Skill Development Training, Computer Education, and Livelihood Promotional services to economically weaker section of the society. The Trust was started with the initial objective of providing relief activities in times of disaster to the poorest of poor in the society. Over the years the Trust has diversified its interest to include various projects for the benefit of economically weaker and socially neglected people also.
TARGET PEOPLE
- Farmers, women, Daily wage earners, Orphans, Destitute, Widows, Schedule Class, Backward Class, Most Backward Class people, Tribal, Fisher Folk, Youth, Refugees, Aged, Sick, Disabled, Socially & Economically Backward and all people who are in distress. The Trust serves to all communities irrespective of caste, creed and religion.

To improve the quality of life for oppressed, disadvantaged, and marginalized people.DEED is working for the benefit of its target group the poor, socially and economically deprived people.
MISSION
To provide support, build capacity, and integrate individuals into mainstream society who have been suppressed in personal, social and economic domains.To reach out to the needy and destitute people in rural areas and support them in the medical, educational and social development areas.
